The city of Palm Springs boasts a rich history, and was once referred to as "The Playground to the Stars". From the 1920's to the 1970's, movie stars and celebrities retreated from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood to resorts and private homes in the middle of the desert, back when Palm Springs was just a shadow of its current size.
Local Palm Springs Weather
Palm Springs has some of the most desirable weather conditions the majority of the year. Except for a few hot months during the summer, the climate is completely ideal for vacationing here. During the winter, temperatures range from 72 degrees during the day to 42 degrees at night. In Springtime, the temperature gets up to about 85 degrees and gets down to 55 degrees overnight. The summer, which usually begins around late May or Early June, reaches normal daytime highs ranging from 100 degrees to up to 125 degrees, but averages around 110 degrees. The fall is an ideal season, with highs during the day of around 90 degrees, with lows in the evening of 60 degrees.
