Realty Rentals Palm Springs Rental Policies
In order to provide you, our guest, with some of the finest vacation rental homes Palm Springs has to offer we've implemented the following rental policies when you're going to rent one of our vacation homes.
Our rental policies are designed to protect the safety and security of our guests as well as the owners of our luxury vacation homes. Our rental policies create a safe environment for all parties.
Arrival and Departure
Standard arrival time to the residence should be no earlier than 3:00 p.m. on the arrival date. The standard departure time should be no later than 11:00 a.m. on the departure date.
Payment for Rentals
Most major credit cards are accepted. Payment in full is required 45 days prior to arrival date. To reserve a home, a deposit of 50% of the rental amount is required if the reservation is made more than 45 days in advance.
This payment structure may vary depending on the home, based on homeowner agreements. Upon request, a payment schedule is available for reservations that are made more than 6 months in advance.
Area occupancy tax is required on all vacation rentals for less than 30 days. Occupancy tax percentage does vary by location.
Homes for vacation rental offer nightly, weekly, or monthly rental rates. In addition to rent for the time period, listed rental rates include regular departure cleaning fee and normal utility usage, calculated based on historical utilities usage in the given property. Additional charges for excess utility usage above 20% of normal will be billed within 45 days of departure. Pool and spa are set at standard temperatures set by the county or state in which the home is located. Temperature requests above standard may result in excessive utility cost.
In lieu of a substantial security deposit paid in advance, a credit card is required on file to charge the cost of any damages or repairs to the home made during occupancy. The deposit also includes any excess utility charges, extra cleaning charges, long distance telephone fees, and any additional services requested during occupancy. Advance notice will be given prior to charges be made against the credit card.
The following cancellation penalties will apply to the total rental amount paid for reservations:
- 90+ days before arrival date 5% penalty
- 89 to 60 days before arrival date 30% penalty
- 59 to 31 days before arrival date 45% penalty
- Under 30 days before arrival 100% penalty
For reservations cancelled 30 days or less prior to the scheduled arrival, there are no refunds if the home is not re-rented for the reserved period or equal value of the rental amount. If the home is re-rented for the cancelled dates, all monies will be refunded less a 25% cancellation fee of the rental amount.
This policy may vary depending on the home, based on homeowner agreements.
Occupants and Reasonable Use
All vacation homes are not to be occupied by more the intended persons allowable for overnight accommodations. Homes are to be used as a private vacation residence for occupants only. All guests are to conduct themselves in a manner that will not disturb the neighbors' peaceful enjoyment of their properties. Noise levels on the property shall not be audible to the neighbors after 10:00 p.m. Homes are not to be used for any improper or illegal purposes. Student groups, bachelor parties, parties of 15 or more, and packaging general public groups are prohibited without prior written approval.
Commercial photography of any kind, still, digital or video is not permitted at any home without advance express written permission. Filming of adult content movies or still photography is strictly prohibited.
Selected homes are pet friendly with advance approval and required deposit.
No homes allow storage of any dangerous, flammable, or explosive materials or materials that might be considered hazardous.
Subleasing homes is not allowed without the prior written consent. No such approved assignment or sublease shall in any way relieve initial rental obligations and responsibilities.
